joeboy Graciousness personified. Actually Labour's win has a lot to do with the lib dems winning dozens of Tory seats and Farage and team hate gimp splitting the right wing vote, 36% isn't exactly a massive endorsement is it. Now off you trot . Really, how many seats does Labour have, have you lost the ability to count?

*The Liberal Democrats could be on course to gain their greatest number of MPs in more than a century as party sources suggested they could go beyond the 61 seats predicted in the general election exit poll after early results came in. "

Tories on just 72 with three quarters of seats declared. They're going to struggle to get to 150

Goodnight all. I will wake up tomorrow to a grey Stalinist dictatorship. A shame I'm too old to emigrate.

"day 'God love em'. You need 326 to win boy. Sorry but that's just how my neighbours in Wexford would put it, It's labour's night and Labour's day to come. You're an also ran at the big day.

Laura K doing her very best on BBC1 to dampen down Labour's victory. "There are lots of poor results for Labour beneath the surface" kind of stuff. This is killing her.

joeboy You sure you're not jib? Someone else who thinks 36% is a majority It's always losers who quibble about this sort of thing. If the Lib Dem Labour positions were reversed you wouldn't be the slightest bit concerned about the percentages.

Burnham saying that he reckons Labour will be able to deliver much more than in ‘97, because of all the work Labour mayors have been doing to prepare for this moment. They are all ready to deliver quickly on a range of things - taking buses into public ownership, taking control of rail, building thousands of council homes, technical education, green policies etc.
